Tal día como hoy, hacia el año 1605, nació en Amberes la pintora flamenca Anna Maria Janssens.

Hoy en día se conocen pocos datos biográficos suyos. Se piensa que estuvo especializada en el bodegón floral y las guirnaldas.

Fue discípula e hija del pintor barroco Abraham Janssens van Nuyssen (c.1575-1632) y su madre fue Sara Goetkin (¿-1644). Su hermano menor, Abraham Janssens II (1616-1649), también fue pintor.

El 5 de julio de 1626, Anna Janssens contrajo matrimonio en la catedral de Amberes con el pintor Jan Brueghel el Joven (1601-1678), con quien tuvo 11 hijos entre los cuales se encuentran los pintores Jan Pieter Brueghel (1628-?), Abraham Brueghel (1631-c.1690), Philips Brueghel (1635-?) y Jan Baptist Brueghel (1647-1719).

On this day, circa 1605, the Flemish painter Anna Maria Janssens was born in Antwerp.

Few biographical details are known about her today. It is believed that she specialized in floral still lifes and garlands.

She was the daughter and disciple of the Baroque painter Abraham Janssens van Nuyssen (c. 1575–1632), and her mother was Sara Goetkin (d. 1644). Her younger brother, Abraham Janssens II (1616–1649), was also a painter.

On 5 July, 1626, Anna Janssens married the painter Jan Brueghel the Younger (1601–1678) at the Cathedral of Antwerp. Together they had 11 children, including the painters Jan Pieter Brueghel (1628–?), Abraham Brueghel(1631–c. 1690), Philips Brueghel (1635–?), and Jan Baptist Brueghel (1647–1719).

It is possible that Anna Janssens worked in her husband's workshop. The signatures found on her paintings include ANNA JANSSENS, Anna Jans, or ANNA. IANSSENS.

Anna Janssens was a member of the Guild of Saint Luke, the painters' guild of Antwerp, for 23 years between 1645 and 1668. She died after this date.
